Doug Knowles – Treasurer
I am a sinner. I deserve nothing. But for the grace of God and the redemption of my Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, a hole in the ground and eternal death would be my verdict. As for professional credentials to be on this Board, all that I know, all that I have done and all that I will ever do pales in comparison with what Jesus did for me on the cross. However, I have 20 years in banking ranging from collector to Regional Executive. I also five years in golf course management and nine years in HVAC as Service Manager and Controller. He has been with me on the mountain tops of life and He has brought me through life’s valleys. During all the seasons of my life I deserved nothing from Him. But because of the mustard seed of faith that I carry in my heart, He brings me through, whether I acknowledge Him or not. I am grateful and thankful to have a forgiving Savior and thru Him, the hope of eternal life with Him; especially in today’s world.
I am by nature a quiet, reserved person. Some would call me an introvert and I could not disagree. I am, however, observant of events, people and situations. As the world around us continues to stray further and further away from our God, I am thankful to be a small part of the Gospel of God ministry. The Truth is being shared each day with those who are lost and have no eternal hope and other believers are being encouraged. I find it amazing to witness the dedication of this small group of believers and the fruits of their efforts to transform lives in the battlegrounds of the streets across our nation and the world. Thus, to whatever level I may use the gifts given me by God to provide support to these Christian warriors, I am honored to do so.
Take heed! Each of us has only a limited number of days! Listen………….Learn…………Believe!
Eric Dillion – Board Chairman
I was raised in a home that attended church but without evidence of salvation for either my parents or siblings. My brother had an experience at work as a teenager and shared his experience with my mom. Convicted on what she heard, my mom began reading the bible and came to Christ in the late 70’s after I was out of the house in college. My dad came to the Lord in 1980, along with some of my siblings in the 80’s. In 1992, my dad and I were in Atlanta, GA for a ‘Braves weekend’, and attended 1st Baptist Church on Sunday when the Holy Spirit came into my heart.
My wife Sally came to the Lord in the early 1980’s, and has been an encouragement to me over the 34 years we have been married. We have 3 daughters, Jennifer (husband Billy), Sarah (husband John), and Kate (husband Brooks), along with three grandchildren – John Duke, Sadie Kate, and Hadley. What a great joy it is to see believing children marry godly spouses and begin having families of their own.
I have been an employee of Dillon Supply Company for more than 36 years, working in several roles. In addition to GGM, I serve as an Elder at Open Door Church in Raleigh, and in various other capacities both in church and the community.

He has been a missionary/evangelist sharing the Gospel in prisons, churches, and the open air since 2004. Tommy, is the author of, “Into The Harvest Field”.
Here is his testimony.
I grew up in a family with no religious background. The leaders in my life were alcoholics and loved pornography, so this was my influence. I was born a twin. While I was in the womb, my position did not allow my right side to develop properly. I entered the world partially paralyzed and developed a speech impediment when I started talking. In the fourth grade I was diagnosed with a learning and reading disability. I was picked on a lot in school and was told that I was slow and dumb. During my late teenage years my father told me that I was not going to work on his farm because of my slow comprehension. I found work in Columbia, South Carolina as a personal trainer and my idol became my body. I also joined several rock bands. With my last band we produced a CD and toured the Southeast. This life was from the pits of hell. The longer I lived, the more I hated my life. I had no purpose, no meaning, and no direction.
At the age of twenty-three, a lady invited me to a play on the life of Jesus. It explained His life from birth to His resurrection. This was the start of the whole transformation. I didn’t give my life to Christ that night. I continued running for a year. As I read God’s word, deeper conviction of sin grew. I was on the verge of taking my life, but through God’s grace He spared my life. The night I was going to take my life I found a card in my room from a person that reminded me of Jesus’ love for me. Turning to the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, I repented and placed my faith in Jesus that night in my room. My view of life is simple – Jesus died and came out of the grave for me, so I have to live for Him.
My Jesus found me broken on my bedroom floor not wanting to live anymore. Oh, how can I not share His Glorious Name? He has taken a slow, crippled boy off a farm in South Carolina and given him new life. I type this with tears in my eyes. I am a man who is blessed beyond measure with an amazing wife who has believed in me from day one and three amazing girls.
May we all boast together in what Jesus Christ has done in all of our lives. We serve an amazing God. He saved us and now He deserves our entire lives
