My name is Benjamin Cervantes. I was born, raised, and born again in El Paso, Texas. I've been a member of Sun City Church for three years and recently completed its pastoral residency program. I am now being sent to Louisville, Kentucky, to pursue further theological training at the seminary level. Last August, when my vacation plans fell through, my elders helped me make the week productive by sending me to Raleigh, North Carolina, for open-air preaching and evangelism training. For several days, I shadowed Tommy, picked his brain, and worked through the curriculum offered by Gospel of God Ministries (GGM). I feel it has equipped me to evangelize faithfully and consistently over the long term. I regularly evangelize at my local college, The University of Texas at El Paso. After my move in August, I hope to continue outdoor evangelism efforts. Membership in a healthy local church will remain a top priority.
